In the summer of 2016, the performance artist Lisa Cieslik was invited to Venice by the Emily Harvey Foundation for a period of 38 days. Every day during her stay, she created a mask from shredded paper wrappings collected from the streets of Venice, and at the end staged a live performance.
In the film by Joachim Richter Lisa Cieslik describes her experience in Venice. The film follows the preparation and creation of the masks, as well as her live performance of "Trash Dress" which took place near the Rialto Bridge on August 17th, 2016.
To Wander at Large - Back From Moscow
In 2016 Düsseldorf based artists Jonas Gerhard (*1980) and Christoph Westermeier (*1984) spent two months in Moscow as scholarship holders within the artist exchange program of Düsseldorf and its Russian partner city. An artist talk and the joint exhibition "Walkers" at the Moscow Rodchenko Art School were realized. In February 2017, Gerhard and Westermeier finished the project with their exhibition "To Wander at Large - Back from Moscow" at the Atelier am Eck in Düsseldorf.
